lyrics

We set out for geographical delight
but fate would not allow us to stay together
We made our way to philosophical demise
but life would not allow us to bear the weather

We set out for Love, and we wrote it on the walls
And we cut all of our golden ties
We made out alright, but we figured that the
slack in the line meant that we had luck on our side

We’re alright for now, but our light is almost out
We’re both hungry now, and the life is dying all around
I don’t know where to start, it’s a shot in the dark
We’re both underneath a cloud, and signs are all around
It’s as if we’re all played out, and our songs are on the ground
No roots to keep them down, and no speakers for the sound

We set our sites on surviving, and we made it up the

Steepest part of the mountain side and
We were cold and numb, so we took off all our
Clothes, and we danced in the morning light

We were young for sure, but we knew that we would

Never make it without more supplies, so

We made out all night, wolves were howling
As the climax brought about the strangest fright

We’re alive for now, but our light is almost out
We’re both hungry now, and my Love, you’re lying on the ground
I don’t know where to start, navigation’s a lost art
This here mountain was our crown, but I don’t know how to get down
It’s as if we’re all played out, and your heart has gone to town
Without love we’ll probably drown, and we’ll sink without a sound
We’re alive for now, but our light is almost out
We’re both hungry now, and my Love, you’re lying on the ground
